SCREENING and ADMISSION What to expect when you call BTG When you make the phone call to BTG, either for yourself or for a loved one, our Screening Coordinator will gather information from you regarding substance abuse history, treatment history; medical or psychiatric conditions, current medications, contact information, and financial information and finally, what led you to pick up the phone and call BTG today. We will also share information about BTG and answer any questions you may have. It will be necessary for the Screening Coordinator to speak with the prospective client in order to gain a better understanding of his/her experience. BTG is not a lock-down facility and it is very helpful for each client to possess a desire to enter into recovery. We will provide an excellent environment for the healing, however the client needs to be ready and willing to do the work “one day at a time”. Next, an appointment for a diagnostic assessment will be scheduled with one of our clinicians. If you must travel more than two hours to Bridging the Gaps, a telephone pre-assessment may also be scheduled. |
