INTRAVENOUS-ORAL NUTRIENT THERAPY

Due to long-term alcohol abuse, chemical dependency, and poor nutrition, recovering addicts suffer from profound brain chemistry deficiencies and imbalances.  As long as this abnormal brain chemistry persists, the recovering addict continues to suffer from chronic abstinence symptoms – cravings, depression, anxiety, insomnia,  irritability, and chronic fatigue, e.g. - and as a direct consequence remains at  high risk of relapse.

To help rapidly reverse these chemical deficiencies-imbalances and chronic abstinence symptoms, Bridging the Gaps is now offering an intravenous and oral nutrient program for our residential clients, alumni clients and outpatients.

The intravenous delivery of nutrients assures a more rapid, predictable delivery and optimization of key nutrients into the blood stream and brain, achieving therapeutic levels not normally obtainable with oral or intramuscular (IM) administration. In addition, infusing essential vitamins, minerals, trace minerals, amino acids, and nutrient derivatives by the intravenous route often avoids the negative side effects of oral delivery of these same nutrients.

Among the benefits observed with intravenous -oral nutrient therapy, there is:

• Rapid rebalancing of brain chemistry – often accomplishing in six to ten days what might take weeks, months, or even years to achieve.

• Removal of destructive free radicals, toxins, metabolites and fat-soluble addictants that invariably build-up in the brain and body of an addict.

• In conjunction with daily healthy meals, rapid restoration of nutritional status.

• Restoration of healthy brain cell membranes.

• Enhancement of immune and liver function.

• Accelerated recovery, with reversal of many of the common mental, emotional, and physical symptoms of sobriety.

  • The combination of intravenous and oral nutrient therapy serves to “jump start” or “boost” the recovering client nutritionally and neurochemically, allowing each client to engage earlier in the other critically important treatments provided by Bridging the Gaps, and to do so with discernibly more clarity, motivation, and commitment.
